Although Nokia has bet from the beginning for a pure experience with Android , through initiatives like, the Finnish does not miss the opportunity to integrate own functions in the software of their phones. While most options have focused on the camera and improving the photographic experience with the terminals, everything points to this being close to change.
This has been confirmed by the brand itself through its Twitter profile, indicating that, sooner or later, four of its best phones will receive one of the fashion options in the telephone sector: the facial unlocking.
Face unlocking comes to the Nokia 7 Plus, 8 Sirocco, 8 and 6.1
More and more smartphone manufacturers decide to implement in their terminals Different facial unlocking systems , in some cases with the aim of replacing the fingerprint reader. Luckily, this is not the case with Nokia models, given that the brand has decided ** to include the facial unlocking in four of its terminals ** after its launch to the market, to accompany the rest of the security systems with which they already have the telephones.
The models chosen by the brand are the,,Y.

Nokia has not announced, for now, the date of arrival of this update that will bring the system of facial unlocking. Nor has it been specified if the system will make use of some type of technology based on artificial intelligence, or if on the contrary it will be a simpler way that will use the front camera to detect the face of the user, in a similar way to what Android integrates natively for years with the Trusted Faces option. I’m afraid we’ll have to wait until we hear more news about it.
