Today we have news related to the Huawei Mate 20, that terminal they say will have three cameras forming a square on their back and from which they have seen more than one live photo . The news comes thanks to a version of EMIU 9 filtered, a software package that the guys from XDA-Developers have not been able to avoid to crumble and where they have found quite interesting references.
And they have focused on the application Camera , an app that has left a lot of information until now unknown, and that could perfectly be in ways that will come with the new Huawei Mate 20 . Anyway, it is important to note that, since it is not a finished software, many of the functions discovered do not reach the final version of the system, so we will have to take the information with care and not draw too many conclusions.
Possible new functions in the Huawei Mate 20 camera
The camera APK included in this filtered version of EMUI 9 has left quite a few surprises, but in XDA-Developers, a new mode called “Underwater” has attracted special attention. As its name indicates, this new function seems to be designed to use the phone under water, since it makes things easier when using the phone in that case. According to the lines of code found, the system maps the physical buttons of the volume control to differentiate between taking pictures (upload volume) and recording a video (volume down), in addition to closing and reopening the camera with the power button. Something that has especially drawn attention, is that they have also found an image in which you can see the silhouette of a phone protected by a waterproof case (image above). Simple recommendation or means that the functions will reach older phones?
Another of the functions found is related to artificial intelligence, something that Huawei had in his day in the presentation of the Kirin 980 with double NPU. It is an editing mode that will allow you to apply different effects in real time to videos. These are the different effects that have been found in the APK:
Another of the ways found that also rely on artificial intelligence is the so-called AI Zoom, a function that automatically zooms to focus the subject on a photo or video. It is something like an automatic trimming to frame the scene perfectly.
And, finally, a rather curious way related to the blur (how not). The so-called Video Bokeh would be able to offer effects of defocusing in real time on videos, applying very colorful effects with which to simulate silhouettes generated by the backlighting of the scene. We could choose between circles, hearts, stars, musical notes and several more silhouettes.
As we said before, these functions appear in the filtered version of EMUI 9, but until the system version is officially released we can not guarantee that all will arrive.
