It has been the renowned German leaker Roland Quandt who has unveiled, through , each and every one of the technical specifications and details of this new high-end processor, which until now was known as Snapdragon 855.
This will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150
According to the information shared, although in previous tests and reports the processor was known as Snapdragon 855 (SDM855), a change of plans would have caused the new processor to come under the name Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150. Despite this change in numbering, it will continue being the successor of the current Snapdragon 845.
Its filtered specifications confirm that the chip will be made up of eight cores , four of them destined to save energy added to other four high performance. Qualcomm would have secretly named “Silver” and “Gold” to each group of cores, the Silver being the low-performance ones with a maximum clock speed of 1.7 GHz, and Gold the most powerful with 2.6 GHz of maximum power . It must be borne in mind, however, that these frequencies are being used in test platforms, and it is possible that they will vary in the final edition of the processor.
