Nothing better to accompany the new releases than a smartwatch. The new Huawei Watch GP is a smart smart watch that draws attention mainly to deal with one of the biggest problems of this type of device: autonomy.
The manufacturer says that its new smart watch is capable of offering up to 2 weeks of autonomy making a moderate use of the device, although as we will see later, in the best of cases it would be able to achieve up to 30 days of autonomy.
Features of the Huawei Watch GP
The secret of offering such a long autonomy lies in the interior, since Huawei has managed to include two processors that will distribute the tasks according to the processing power they require. For example, the brain of lower power (lower consumption), will be dedicated to completing lighter and faster tasks, while the more powerful CPU will be responsible for tasks that require agility and maximum processing speed.
This combination of processors allows the device to reach a maximum autonomy of 30 days in the best of cases, a prolongation of the battery quite large if we consider the average life of the smartwatches of today. These are some examples of the autonomy that we can achieve with different uses:
- 30 days: receive calls and messages, monitor heart rate and keep the GPS off at all times.
- 2 weeks: monitor the heart rate and do 90 minutes of exercise a week.
- 22 hours: keep a continuous tracking of the exercises, with monitoring of the heart rate and with the GPS on.
The system will be in charge of monitoring our physical activities, being able to catalog some of the interior such as running, swimming and cycling, as well as other outdoor ones such as climbing, swimming on the high seas, etc. These measurements will feature Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 technology, which combines the information from the sensors with a series of algorithms so that the system is able to obtain more accurate measurements by learning the routines on its own.
The body of this new smart watch maintains a thickness of 10.6 millimeters, while the circular screen reaches 1.39 inches. The case is made of 316L stainless steel and has polished diamond finishes and ceramic bevels to offer a classic and elegant look at the same time.
