Google Maps will make it easier for wheelchair users to travel by public transport . As of today, the Android application of maps and navigation par excellence, will show those routes that are accessible by wheelchair.
In this way, each time a route is planned through public transport, be it subway, train or bus, Google Maps will highlight those that are prepared for wheelchair access . This feature will begin to be available in six major cities starting today, although it will end up reaching more parts of the world with the passage of time.

Google has announced the arrival of this feature to the maps app through his official blog , describing it as a way of facilitate the movement in public transport to people with limited mobility .
In order to access this tool, it will be necessary to access the Google maps application and write the desired destination. Later, by clicking on the ‘How to arrive’ button and selecting the public transport option , a new type of routes will appear ‘Accessible in a wheelchair’ . When selecting this option, the application will show a list of routes that have measures aimed at facilitating access for people in wheelchairs, such as ramps on entrances and exits or entrance platforms.
Starting today, this feature is rolling out in major metropolitan transit centers around the world, starting with London, Tokyo, Mexico City, Boston, and Sydney.
