Google is still working on creating the ultimate messaging solution . Android Messages is immersed in a process of changes, and little by little it is becoming the instant messaging service that Google has been trying to create for so long. If only a week ago we informed you about the renewal of the app, with the arrival of a new appearance based on the appearance Google Material Theme, today we have to inform about the arrival of the web version of the platform.
We already warned you a while ago that Messages from Android would debut, sooner or later, a web version to use the platform through the browser . Today, that day is a little closer, because the website of Android messages is already active for everyone.
The web version of Android Messages is now available
From Reddit have warned about the arrival of the web edition of the platform, which from today it is accessible through browsers Chrome, Firefox and Opera . When accessing the, the assistant will appear to link our smartphone through the app, including a QR code that, once scanned with the smartphone, will be associated to our account.
The operation is traced to WhatsApp Web , therefore once the smartphone is disconnected, the connection is lost and it is not possible to continue using the platform. Although it is not as effective as Telegram’s solution -one account for any variant of the platform-, it is undoubtedly an advance with respect to what we had up to now.
Among the options of this desktop version, we will find the possibility of activate or deactivate notifications, show a preview of messages in these, a dark theme -thanks, Google- or the possibility of remembering a specific computer to avoid having to associate the device every time you want to use the desktop version.
However, there is a problem: at the moment, The Android Messages application does not have the option to associate with the desktop version -at least in the latest version available on Google Play-, and therefore we still have to wait a bit until we can enjoy the desktop edition of the messaging platform.
